Hunt Arkansas

The 2022-2023 season will be our 24th year guiding waterfowl hunts in Arkansas. We started out on our family farm in Arkansas County between DeWitt and Stuttgart. We would hunt every day before school with great success. Our first customers were in a nearby town hunting and they weren’t having much luck so they called and the fire was ignited. They hunted a few days and returned to South Carolina to gather a few friends and come back a few short days later. Within a few years, we had outgrown our farm and we began to lease property around the county. Our hunts now are spread out over approximately 40 different spots in the county. Each year the exact number varies slightly due to crop rotation, but we pride ourselves in having multiple locations for each group hunting.

The Hunt

Our hunts include:

• Fully guided morning hunt – normally no later than 10:30 if needed
• Afternoon goose can be added if birds and conditions are favorable to a successful hunt.
  Note: We scout our locations every day to determine where the best location is for your next hunt. You will never hunt somewhere that we didn’t look at the afternoon before your hunt.
• All decoys, blinds, callers, guides, dogs, and transportation to and from the blind
• Your WELL TRAINED dog is welcome, but our rule is: IF YOUR DOG DOESN’T RETRIEVE – YOU DO!
• Bird Processing is available for a small fee.
• Absolutely no alcohol until your hunt for the day is completed.

Lodging

Lodging is included in most of our hunts for a fee of $25 per person per night
We have 3 lodges that we operate and we work with 2 other lodges for any overflow that we have during season.
We have one lodge that sleeps 8, one that sleeps 10, and one that will sleep 12 
All towels and linens are provided and beds will be made and ready on your arrival to camp.

Fully equipped kitchens.

No Food is provided. Please plan accordingly for food preparation. Most of our guest enjoy grilling while enjoying the beverage of choice. Stuttgart and DeWitt are both short drives with several dining options if you prefer not to cook.

Guides

All of our hunts are fully guided. We feel that you are far better off with someone who knows the area and how the birds have been acting in this particular area. We realize that many great waterfowlers come through our doors, but still feel that our guides ensure the greatest opportunity for a successful hunt. We currently have 8 guides that are all very capable of getting you on birds. All of our guides play a very important role in the success of our hunts. Several of the guides really enjoy decoying specks in the afternoon if that is something of interest to your group.
BJ West –aka “Boom Shoot em” Owner/Operator/Scout. BJ is also co-owner of Quack Attack Canada Ltd. He spends his time off chasing turkeys all over the US.
Spot (Heath) Watson – 21 years with Quack Attack. Spot has been here since day 1 and still hasn’t put in a full day’s work. Spot works at a fertilizer plant during the off season.
JD Hollimon– 18 years with Quack Attack and is the self-proclaimed “TG” (Top Guide). JD enjoys his off days earning a living with AT&T.
Cody Chapman – 10 years with Quack Attack. Cody came to us as a customer and became family. His summer months are busy working on the pipe line.
Jeremy Pippinger “Pip” – 7 years with Quack Attack. Pip spends his summer months on the farm and the baseball field with his boys.
Cody Springer – 5 years with Quack Attack. Springer is the owner of Bull Sprig Retrievers in Conway, AR which keeps his busy all year long.
Brett Craine – 2 years with Quack Attack. Brett is also Co-owner of Rollin Snows Outfitters that he operates for the spring snow goose season. He is the only one on the staff that likes snow geese.
Kevin Endsley- We just gained Kevin last season and he proved to be a valuable addition to the team. Kevin farms his family farm in Holly Grove when its not duck season.

Hunt Cost

Fully guided morning hunt with lodging $350 per person per day (Includes bird processing)
Fully guided morning hunt without lodging $325 per person per day (Includes bird processing)
Fully guided afternoon goose hunt $225 each if added to your morning hunt (Includes bird processing)
Fully guided afternoon goose hunt $225 per hunter for drive up only hunts.
Fully guided morning goose hunt during early speck season or during duck season split is $225 per person and includes lodging fee of $25 per person per night.
We require a deposit of 50% is required to book your hunt.

You will need the following licenses for your Arkansas hunting trip. You can purchase these at local retailers, online at www.agfc.com, or by calling 800-364-4263.
5 day Non-Resident small game license (SG5) $70
Non-Resident Arkansas state waterfowl stamp (DSN) $35
HIP Registration (HIP) free but it is required
Federal Duck Stamp $25 If you have a current Federal Stamp on your home state license please make sure you have that license with you as well.

Travel

Most of our hunters choose to drive to Arkansas for their hunting adventure. If you do choose to fly there are two airport options fairly close to us. Little Rock International (LIT) is the closest and is approximately 68 miles from camp. Memphis, TN (MEM) is the other option and often times is significantly cheaper flights. MEM is approximately 145 miles away from the lodge. Whichever means of travel you choose, please plan to arrive after 3 PM the day prior to your first hunt. This allows the staff to adequately clean the lodges prior to your arrival.

What to expect

When you choose to hunt with us at Quack Attack, you can expect an all-out effort to make your hunt the best it can be. We scout every day and we look at every location each day. This intense scouting provides you with the best possible hunting situation every day of your trip. We very seldom hunt the same location two days in a row. With 35 plus places to choose from each day we normally have fresh birds for each group each day. We have pits, sled blinds, layout blinds, panel blinds, and tree lines to utilize for your hunt. We move our sled blinds almost every night to make sure that we are on the X when daylight breaks. Many people ask why we do so well with our hunts. There is no doubt that its because we put so much effort into your hunt. We don’t wine and dine our guests we simply put all our emphasis on making sure you pull the trigger- a lot. We typically meet around 5-5:30 each morning and you will follow your guide to your hunting location. We get the decoys out and wait for daylight. After the hunt is over, we will pick all spent shells, trash, decoys, and head back to the lodge. All birds will be tagged and processed so you will not have to bother with cleaning and packaging your birds.

Booking your hunt

We have been very fortunate in the last few years in that our hunts sell out very quickly. We typically have 85-90% repeat customers who book their hunt for the following year prior to leaving camp. We don’t allow any new customers to book until February 1st each year. The last few years we have been sold out before the end of the day on February 1 for the coming fall. We often have groups that fall out for some reason during the year and those hunts will be filled on first come first serve basis.
